Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does Otikos Publishing House and/or it's authors have access to ancient scrolls from the Middle East?

A: No. Otikos Publishing House and it's authors have no access to ancient scrolls. Our work proceeds from other types of documents, some of which at times may include photos (and digitized versions of photos) of ancient scrolls, cuneiform tablets, stone inscriptions (on monuments and architechture, etc.). But we do not maintain any such properties in private collections of our own.

Q: This website and online store don't have a lot in the catalog. Why should I come back here?

A: Otikos is a new imprint as of 2026. We have launched our website and our premier publication jointly. Our further publications will include subjects in the areas of history, science, sociology, education, the arts, politics, and more. So coming back (or joining our newsletter) will give you the most assurance that you won't miss our latest offerings as our work progresses!

Q: The Testament of Simon the Mage really touched my heart, and I would like to know if bulk purchases are available, so I can share this in Bible Study groups or at spiritual retreats. Can I get a discount if I'm buying more than one copy?

A: Yes. We agree about the power of the narrative found in TTSM, and that's why we obtained the publishing rights for this... the first ever English translation! Bulk rates are available upon request. Just email the address on our contacts form at the bottom of the main page on this site with your request and we will gladly provide our current bulk rate prices for your desired quantity.

Q: As a Christian, why should I want to read something attested to an evil heretic? That seems dangerous and ill-advised.

A: As a Christian, you should first grasp that God is aligned with Truth. If men through history have distorted what we've been given about history, then it isn't evil to restore truth, or even to investigate for better, more truthful understanding. Acts 17:10-15 makes this much clear. For a pretty normal Christian response to The Testament of Simon The Mage, see our page titled A Lost Witness?

Q: Can I change my privacy and cookie settings on your site?

A: Yes, of course. Visit our Privacy Policy Page, and use the "fingerprint" icon that appears there to customize your settings.
